The most reliable home method: take a ring that already fits, measure its inside diameter in millimetres against a ruler, and read your Indian size off the chart below. Most women in India wear sizes 10–14 (inside diameter 15.6–17 mm). No printer or tools needed.
Method 1 - the ring you already own (most accurate)
- Pick a ring that fits the target finger comfortably.
- Lay it on a ruler; measure the inside edge-to-edge diameter in mm.

Method 2 - string method (no ring available)
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or thread around the base of the finger — snug, over the knuckle-side.
- Mark the overlap, measure the length in mm = your circumference.
- Divide by 3.14 = inside diameter → chart above.
- Measure at day's end (fingers are largest) and never when cold.
Fit rules worth knowing
- The ring should slide on easily and resist slightly coming back over the knuckle — that's correct, not tight.
- Wider bands wear smaller: for bold designs consider a half-size up.
- Between sizes? Go up — a slightly loose ring wears; a tight one doesn't.
